citizens who serve as part of the decision-making body for improving results for children and families

· An independent non-profit with 501(c)(3) status
· Affiliated with a statewide network of 159 community partners and a national organization that helps kids stay in school and
achieve in life
· A process not a program

· Makes decisions about what results are desired
· Sets priorities to achieve results

· Holds itself accountable for the well-being of children and families in the community
